Job Description

Under the Safe Migration (SaMi) Program operated according to the bilateral agreement between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland, Duduwa Rural Municipality intends to recruit staff on a contract basis for the purpose of disseminating information related to safe foreign employment, providing assistance in issues related to foreign employment, delivering psychosocial services and conducting awareness programs on safe foreign employment.

Therefore, applications are invited from eligible and interested Nepali citizens who meet the required qualifications to fill the following positions on a contract service basis.

Applicants must submit their applications within 15 days from the date of publication of this notice, during office hours, by following the prescribed procedures. This notice is published for the information of all concerned.

Required Qualifications

For The Post Of Psychosocial Counselor

• Must have completed health assistant or staff nurse from a recognized educational institution or a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in public health/nursing/psychology/sociology/social work/health education or a post-graduate diploma in counseling.
• Must have completed at least 6 months of training in psychosocial counseling and obtained a certificate from the national health training center, with work experience in the same field. Women candidates will be given special priority.
• Must not be disqualified under prevailing laws.
• Must have basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Must be able to speak and prepare reports in both Nepal and English.

For The Post Of Returnee (Volunteer)

• Must have passed at least Grade 8 and have a minimum of 1 year of work experience in foreign employment (Gulf countries and Malaysia).
• Priority will be given to those who have worked in the safe foreign employment sector.
• Note: – For this position, the applicant must be a local resident of the concerned local level.

Contract Duration

Initially until the end of Ashadh 2083 (B.S.) and may be renewed based on program requirements and performance evaluation.

Selection Method

Interview and practical test.
